After relocating to Central Florida in 2000, I answered an ad in the Sentinel for a temp receptionist position. I’d already been offered a job with a local radiology company, so I thought I’d take the temp assignment to pass the time until it began.
Now … many years into that “temp” assignment … I’ve moved up the ranks from receptionist to vice president, and in August 2008 I was named partner.
The steps in my career also reinforced how necessary a college education was and I returned to school at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Nothing I have ever accomplished has meant more to me than earning my degree.
As the economy rebounds, I will begin to explore my next adventure in education, which I hope will be an MBA.
In the meantime, I will learn as much as I can through written works, observation and life experience.
Hello Kimberly,
I was actually searching for an old friend and found you! I wanted to say how impressed I am with not only how you have gone after your life, but how you have packaged yourself here. It is really great. Congratulations on your hard work and perseverance. It seems to have paid off well for you! I admire your dedication.
Funny, isn’t it, how people see others, how you “bump” into someone on the Internet you may not have ever had the chance to connect with.
Great job! Thanks for your blog here, I have looked up Seth Godin and actually have subscribed to his blog. I really like the Triibes and plan on doing lots of reading this weekend. Perhaps send Seth a nice note! I also love how you have this laid out, with the Tweet Feed, Influences, Musical Influences, Musings and then Personal. Really together! You have given me some great ideas! Thanks!
Sincerely,
Lynette Hoy

Oops, Hoy. Not Hoyt. Thanks!
Thanks, Lynette, for your lovely comment!
Best,
